Charming rooms with a beautiful island vibe.

The staff's lack of English made communication difficult, which compounded the anxiety when we had to repeatedly remind them about our requested services, like towels and toilet paper. I never expected breakfast to be so disappointing. it was just a small piece of granola and some fruit, which was far from adequate. On top of that, the wait times for any service were unreal, often leaving us frustrated and seeking alternatives elsewhere, especially when the restaurant was completely unresponsive.

A peaceful getaway on the lagoon

The lagoon's beauty was mesmerizing, and we often enjoyed kayaking at sunset. the staff were attentively friendly, creating a welcoming atmosphere throughout our stay.

However, a few hiccups arose during our stay, like the noise from late-night repairs and an unexpected power outage that affected our water supply.

The lagoon access was incredible, especially enjoying sunset kayaking. The vibrant breakfast options really enhanced our mornings, despite a minor shower issue that didn't detract from our overall enjoyment.

The location is breathtaking, right next to the

beautiful lagoon that offers stunning sunrises. The staff was genuinely eager to help, making it one of my favorite stays. However, be mindful of the slightly awkward shower design. Overall, I wish we had booked more days to soak it all in!

The salmon dish was a revelation, bursting with flavor! We also loved the free kayaks and paddle boards—perfect for exploring the stunning lagoon right from the hotel. The views at sunrise and sunset simply can't be beaten!

Unfortunately, the TV clicker didn't work during our stay, and we suspect a thieving gremlin took over $1000 from our suitcase—no thanks to the staff's unprofessionalism. The rain kept us from hitting the lake, but the lagoon still shimmered beautifully outside our window.

great location but minor maintenance issues

The lagoon front location made it easy to enjoy our kayaking adventures! The double room with two double beds was quite spacious and comfortable for our family. The garden view was vibrant, offering a refreshing atmosphere during our stay.

The noise from nearby repairs was somewhat bothersome at times.

The location was fabulous, just a short walk to the center and right beside the lake. The double room was comfortable, and the cafe capsules in the room made for some nice coffee moments. We enjoyed the access to kayaks and paddleboards to explore the beautiful lagoon.

The stunning views of the lagoon stood out, complemented by the excellent menu with a good selection of hot food options. While the atmosphere was pleasant, it would have been better if the pool were larger, as it felt a bit cramped during peak hours. The staff were friendly, although the limited number of available rooms meant the property could get quite busy at times.

Just a balanced option for a quick break in Bacalar with high value for money. It was nice having bug spray available in the lobby, which helped manage the mosquitoes around. Bring your snacks because there are no options on-site.
